Study trip

               Thenmala Visit

 On February 25 our college has organised an filed trip for both first and second year students as apart of B.Ed Curriculum.we have done planning very well to complete the destination at a fixed time.There were 2 buses and the journey started from pothencode at 7 30 am and all the students come at  correct time.The main obj byective of the trip was to deepen social band historical knowledge, highlights career opportunities,promote intrest in art and culture,provides measurable benefit beyond a curriculum, promote critical thinking skills, Reinforce experiential and contextual learning,develp positive attitude,values and specific skills etc..

                      

The Thenmala is a tourism destination in the eastern side of the kollam district in Kerala.Tge word Thenmala means Honeyhills on Malayalam language.The town is 66km away from Tamil Nadu State boarder....

            

It was about 2 hour journey when we reset at Thenmala at first we all got fresh and then we divided into groups each containing 25 members .they allotted different task for each group. At first the first years went to adventure trip and second years went for boating. We reach at the adventure sport at 10:45 a.m. the place was full of adventures activity at first we walk through deep wooden zone. After the elevated pathway there is footpath from the top which leads to the lake at the bottom the route is designed to offer some trekking experience. Moreover they have mountaining, Lotus pond ,mountain biking, river crossing ,tunnel walk ,valley crossing ,pedestal boating water roller etc.

               

        

 

At 2:00 p.m. we all had our lunch and after that first year students went for boating and second year students went for adventure trip. We went for boating in kallada river where Thenmala dam is situated .the boating was nice experience .it took about one hour for completeing boating .the journey was so amazing. The river is surrounded by shendurni wildlife sanctuary. the staffs working in the boat had given all the information related to dam and sanctuary. we went boating as  two trips, each about carried 20 people at the time the journey was so mind relaxing and a very good experience .

                       

             

After boating we go to see the deer rehabilitation centre.

                  

We left there at 5:15 p.m. at around 5:45 p.m. we wear given snacks and tea. Journey was so memorial we reached back at 7:00 p.m. near MT cinema hall pothencode,where our journey started.
